内容摘要：This talk will give an introduction into the basics of social network analysis (SNA), starting with the fundamental concepts of strong and weak ties, and of homophily. It will introduce the core social network metrics such as degree and betweenness centrality, and discuss different ways of analyzing social networks though surveys and digital traces such as e-mail or phone logs. It will illustrate this with many examples from over fifteen years of social network analysis research of the presenter, using the social network analysis tool Condor. In particular it will introduce the concept of Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINs), a major application of SNA. Finally, it will demonstrate how social network structure can be extended with social network dynamics and social network semantic contents for more in-depth analysis.
